Our chapter is in the process of creating Pro Bono and public awareness programs, and the success of the programs will be determined by the involvement of our members.

We encourage all of our chapter members to get involved in the Pro Bono program, and as a first step, we would like to gauge the interest of our members. Attached is a questionnaire asking you to express your willingness to participate and the groups in which you would like to get involved.

The membership Committee is dedicated to attracting new members to our chapter, as well as helping them get involved in chapter activities. The membership committee’s activities include developing new member campaigns, contacting current and terminating members by phone or letter and assisting the membership chairs.

The role of the media relations Committee is to enhance the visibility of the Financial Planning profession and the members of the Ventura County Chapter. We are looking for volunteers to work as part of a team developing public awareness activities and close relationships with media.

Our chapter receives media requests for information on a wide range of financial topics. When we refer the media, remember you are representing FPA, not your own practice. To ensure that you understand the nature of this responsibility, you must sign an FPA media Agreement. The Media Agreement is approved for chapter members with CFP® designation only. Please read the instructions carefully and send a copy to Committee Chair.
